Help foster a community where everyone feels connected, welcomed, and at home.
Who ambassadors are
Not pace leaders. They are trusted, consistent members who model our values and make people feel welcomed and connected.
Show up most weeks. Arrive early, linger after. Be visibly approachable. That alone changes how new runners experience the group.
Spark conversations, celebrate milestones, and pull people toward post-run hangouts. Help turn a run into a community.
Share real feedback through quarterly surveys. Tell us what's working, what's not, and what newcomers are experiencing.
Core expectations
Welcome newcomers
If you see someone standing alone before the run starts, that's your cue. Don't wait for them to approach.
Be present & approachable
It's not just about attendance. It's about being the kind of person a nervous first-timer would feel okay walking up to.
Model the culture
Pace conversations can unintentionally exclude people. Redirect toward effort, enjoyment, and experience instead of times and splits.
Build post-run energy
Attend post-run hangouts occasionally. Help normalize gathering together instead of dispersing the moment the run ends.
What you receive
2 pairs of shoes per year
Product training that's casual and conversational, just enough to talk about what you love authentically
A kickoff gathering to meet your fellow ambassadors, align on expectations, and eat some pizza
One community event per year, a run, a social, or both
Stepping back
Circumstances change. If you need to step back, we just ask for an early conversation so we can plan ahead.
Apply
Thanks for putting your hand up. We'll review applications and be in touch soon. In the meantime, keep showing up โ that's already what this role is about.
